About this website:
This website is a digital library of clocks pictured in each of the texts.
The website also contains a large number of images not seen any of the books.
You do not need to buy the books to use the website; the website is a free library of images.
Please respect that neither you nor I own these images.
The digital library contains images of over 2,000 English table clocks.
Each clock on the website has a unique Identification Number (example: H3-2).
The first letter of the clockmaker’s surname is coupled to an arbitrary number assigned to that maker. For example, H3 refers to Jacob Hassenius.
Each clock by an individual maker is assigned an arbitrary number. For example, H3-2 refers to the second clock by Jacob Hassenius in the digital library.
The front view and backplate are shown for most clocks. For clocks included in Beneath the Dial, the library also shows the frontplate image.
You can search for clocks by maker's name, partial name, identification number, image source, etc.
To search or browse individual clocks, click on Clock Images from the menu.
